Who we are looking for

We are looking for a professional with experience in payroll management for Local Authority personnel, able to manage payslip processing and social security and tax compliance in accordance with the Local Government Functions National Collective Labour Agreement, while supporting HR offices in the correct application of regulations.

Main activities:

    • Monthly payslip processing for Local Authority personnel, in compliance with the Local Government Functions National Collective Labour Agreement and current legislation.
    • Management of attendance and absences, shifts, allowances and overtime.
    • Management of social security and tax compliance, including UniEmens, F24, CU, 770 forms and related requirements.
    • Support for Authorities in the correct application of the National Collective Labour Agreement and in the interpretation of the main regulations concerning local public employment.
    • Collaboration with the project team for the implementation and optimisation of payroll software dedicated to Public Authorities.

Requirements:

    • Solid experience in payroll processing for public bodies, with particular reference to Local Authorities.
    • Excellent knowledge of the Local Government Functions National Collective Labour Agreement, formerly Local Authorities, and of public employment legislation.
    • Expertise in managing social security and tax compliance related to the payroll cycle.
    • Excellent use of Excel and the main payroll software.
    • Strong aptitude for teamwork and client relations.
    • Availability for possible business trips to clients within the territory.

Education:

    • Accounting diploma or equivalent administrative qualification.
    • Degree in Economics, Law or equivalent background preferred, but not essential where significant experience in the role is demonstrated.
